Position Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Data Transformation Specialist to support a critical data migration and system consolidation project.

The organization has recently brought together multiple entities and locations, each with its own processes for maintaining operational information. As a result, data currently exists across several systems, Excel spreadsheets, and paper records.

This individual will be responsible for reviewing, organizing, validating, and migrating data into Uptick, helping establish a consistent and reliable source of information across the organization.

Accuracy is extremely important, as much of the information relates to fire alarm, sprinkler, and other fire and life-safety systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and consolidate information from multiple legacy systems, Excel spreadsheets, electronic files, and paper documentation
  • Enter, transfer, and migrate data into Uptick
  • Review source information for completeness, consistency, and accuracy prior to migration
  • Clean, organize, and standardize data from multiple entities and locations
  • Identify missing, inconsistent, or questionable information and research discrepancies before entering data
  • Accurately capture detailed information related to fire alarm, sprinkler, and life-safety systems
  • Perform quality-control checks to ensure migrated information matches source documentation
  • Maintain organized records and track progress throughout the migration project
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to clarify data and resolve discrepancies
  • Follow established data-entry and migration procedures while meeting project deadlines

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with data migration, data conversion, data entry, document management, system implementation, or master data projects
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working with large volumes of detailed information from multiple sources
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify discrepancies rather than simply transferring inaccurate information
  • Highly organized and comfortable performing detailed, repetitive work
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Uptick or similar field service / asset management software
  • Knowledge of the fire protection, fire alarm, sprinkler, or life-safety industry
  • Previous experience consolidating information following acquisitions, system conversions, or multi-location integrations
  • Experience validating and standardizing legacy data before system migration

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who is meticulous, analytical, and process-driven. This isn't simply a copy-and-paste data entry project. We need someone who can review information critically, recognize when something doesn't look right, and ensure the data being transferred is complete and accurate.

Because this information supports fire and life-safety systems, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
