Employment Status: Full-time RegularJob Summary: Preparing, setting up, and operating Haas 3-axis milling machines and Doosan turning centers with Y-axis capabilities to produce high-quality, precision components. Work with diverse materials (aluminum, stainless steel, brass, copper, plastics). Interpret blueprints, select and install proper tooling for complex turning/milling operations, perform first-article inspections, and edit programs at the machine to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical degree, machinist certification, or apprenticeship highly preferred, or 3–5 years of proven experience independently setting up and operating 3-axis mills and lathes in a precision machining environment.Knowledge: Material expertise across aluminum, stainless steel, brass, copper, and plastics; control literacy with Haas CNC controls and Fanuc-based Doosan systems (read/edit G-/M-code); blueprint reading and GD&T; precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and bore gauges.Skills: Learning, listening, critical thinking, effective communication; systems understanding; analysis and decision-making; efficient time and materials management.Primary Job Duties: Perform efficient setups from scratch on Haas 3-axis vertical mills and Y-axis Doosan lathe; install/adjust collets, fixtures, vices, and custom work holding; select, preset, and install cutting tools/inserts based on material; set up live tooling and manage Y-axis tool offsets; load CNC programs, verify offsets, run dry runs, and edit programs at the console to optimize feeds/speeds and compensate for tool wear; read complex prints and GD&T; conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using precision tools; load raw stock, monitor machine cycles, speeds, feeds, and chip management during drilling, milling, turning, boring, facing, thread chasing; detect and correct dull tooling or mechanical issues; perform daily preventive maintenance; maintain production records and quality logs; document and communicate machine status and tool wear for shift handoff.Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, 401(k), Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Competitive Compensation.
