You’d provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management by video for clients located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, Connecticut, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and New York. This role does not prescribe controlled substances. You’d manage non-controlled psychiatric medications only. You can cover one state or several. If you’re already licensed in New York or Connecticut and have 3,600 or more hours of NP practice, we especially want to hear from you.What the work involves: Psychiatric evaluations and management of non-controlled medications by telehealth; Coordinating care with the NRC therapist who’s seeing the same client, with the client’s consent; Keeping your own notes and prescribing within each state’s rules.What you need for each state you cover: National board certification as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (e.g., ANCC PMHNP-BC); At least one year of practice as a PMHNP; An RN license and an APRN/NP license in that state, with prescriptive authority, or a willingness to get them; An active DEA registration for each state you cover (and state controlled-substance registration where required) even though this role doesn’t prescribe controlled substances; Your own collaborating or supervising physician, licensed in that state and in place before you start, where the state requires one; Your own malpractice coverage for telehealth in every state you cover, with limits of at least $1 million/$3 million; Ability to be credentialed with insurance plans as a prescriber (individual NPI, CAQH, no exclusions from federal programs); Telehealth experience helps.What the practice handles: scheduling, billing and insurance credentialing.Terms: 1099 independent contractor.
