Job Summary: Provides nursing services within scope of practice requiring technical knowledge/skills and assists with administrative responsibilities such as record-keeping under direction of health care providers and RNs. Practices risk management, quality assurance, and customer service.Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare exam rooms; ensure labs/x-rays/diagnostic reports are on chart; take and record vitals; observe patients and report adverse reactions; assemble/utilize equipment (oxygen, nebulizers, EKGs); collect samples for routine tests (blood glucose, urine protein); sterilize equipment and supplies; dress wounds; administer vaccines/injections/oral medications/nebulizer/oxygen therapy per orders; assist providers with procedures; monitor equipment; educate patients; inventory and requisition supplies; provide timely reports/data to supervisor.Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; certificate of completion from accredited school of nursing or associate’s degree in practical nursing; NJ LPN license; 1 year LPN experience in a healthcare setting preferred; bilingual capability preferred.
