Job Summary: Advanced practice registered nurse providing comprehensive primary and preventative health care and disease management to individuals within a discipline of certification (Adults, Pediatrics, Family, Women’s Health). Practices risk management, quality assurance, and customer service.Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Perform primary and preventative health services and disease management within scope under a collaborating physician; prepare/review case histories and obtain data; participate in provider on-call schedule; participate in in-patient rounds as necessary; perform office-based procedures with appropriate training; educate patients and ensure follow-up; maintain accurate medical records per NCHC policies; prescribe medications and therapies; assist in department policy/procedure development; collect in-patient invoices and submit timely; participate in department/Clinical Services meetings and health initiatives/collaboratives; meet patient utilization standards.Qualifications: RN with a master’s degree as an advanced nurse practitioner; licensed in NJ as RN and APN with prescriptive authority preferred (NJ CDS, federal DEA); Federal NPI; certified by AANP, NCC, or ANCC; knowledge of state/federal public health laws.
