Process Improvement Intern – Budapest

As a Process Improvement Intern, you’ll join our Controllership and Global Business Services (GBS) teams in Budapest. You’ll get a hands-on look at how a global media company operates, learn how to spot inefficiencies, and help us build simple, smart automation solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing (The Real Deal)

• Keep Automations Running: Help monitor, run, and support the daily automations built by our Functional Process Improvement (FPI) team.

• Troubleshoot & Fix: When an automated script hits a snag, you’ll be on the front line helping to debug and resolve simple issues.

• Build Simple Automations: Work on basic Excel macros, scripts, and workflows (using tools like VBA, Alteryx, Python, or SAP GUI) to save time for the team.

• Process Documentation: Map out existing workflows and write clear, easy-to-follow documentation for new process improvements.

• Team & System Support: Handle administrative tasks within our FPI tools and help colleagues clean up templates and data.

• Learn & Grow: Participate in workshops, online trainings, and team updates to build your technical and business skill set.

What We’re Looking For

• Student Status: Active BSc/MSc studies in Business, Finance, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

• Tech Curiosity: A real interest in process optimization, digital tools, and automation.

• Problem-Solving Mindset: You enjoy digging into data, logical thinking, and figuring out why something isn't working.

• Language Skills: Confident English communication (both written and spoken).

• The Extras (Nice to Have, Not Required):

  • Basic finance or accounting knowledge.

  • Any previous exposure to VBA, Python, Alteryx, or SAP scripting (even from university projects or self-learning!).

  • Please note: This position is based in Budapest and requires active student status in Hungary with full current eligibility to work (no visa, work permit, or relocation sponsorship is provided).
