Financial Services Agent (FSA) – Greater Atlanta

Farmers Insurance District 44-11, currently #1 in Georgia and #3 in the country, is seeking an experienced Financial Services Agent (FSA) to partner with established Farmers agency owners throughout the Greater Atlanta area.

This role is designed for an experienced life insurance and financial services professional with a demonstrated ability to build client relationships, identify needs, and close business. The FSA will work with existing Farmers customers—including affluent and high-net-worth households—to provide life insurance and financial solutions.

A key advantage of this opportunity is the infrastructure already in place to support production. Our District has invested in dedicated appointment-setting and agency training with the goal of providing the FSA with approximately 10–15 pre-set client appointments each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Farmers agency owners throughout Greater Atlanta to identify life insurance and financial services opportunities within their existing books of business
  • Conduct scheduled client appointments to assess financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Develop relationships with existing Farmers customers, including affluent and high-net-worth clients
  • Work closely with agency owners and staff to identify cross-sell and referral opportunities
  • Manage client follow-up, applications, and the sales process through completion
  • Build long-term client relationships and identify additional opportunities as needs evolve
  • Travel to agency offices and client meetings throughout the Greater Atlanta area as needed

Business Development & District Support

Unlike many traditional financial services roles that require professionals to generate the majority of their own prospecting activity, this position is supported by an established network of Farmers agencies and a District-level appointment-setting strategy.

Resources include:

  • Approximately 10–15 pre-set appointments per week
  • A dedicated appointment setter focused on building and maintaining the FSA's calendar
  • Access to warm opportunities within existing Farmers customer relationships
  • Agency staff trained to identify life and financial services opportunities and schedule appointments
  • Access to established agency books of business, including high-net-worth client opportunities
  • District leadership focused on expanding life insurance and financial services production
  • The objective is simple: allow an experienced producer to spend more time meeting with clients, conducting needs-based conversations, and closing business and less time relying solely on cold prospecting to build a pipeline.

    Products & Solutions

    • Life insurance, including solutions for complex and high-net-worth cases
    • Annuities, including fixed, fixed-indexed, variable, and other annuity solutions
    • Mutual funds and IRA solutions
    • Small-business and employer retirement plans, including 401(k), SEP, SIMPLE, and other qualified plan options
    • 529 education savings plans
    • Access to products and solutions from recognized providers and fund families including Fidelity, BlackRock, American Funds, Pacific Life, Protective Life, Equitable, Corebridge Financial, and Athene

Product availability varies based on licensing, registration, appointment, client circumstances, and other applicable requirements.

    Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with an established background in life insurance and/or financial services. This is not an entry-level sales opportunity.

    Preferred qualifications include:

    • Several years of life insurance and/or financial services experience
    • Minimum of 50 issued-and-paid life insurance policies
    • Demonstrated history of sales production and closing business
    • Strong consultative selling and needs-analysis skills
    • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
    • Experience working with affluent or high-net-worth clients preferred
    • Ability to operate independently while partnering effectively with multiple agency owners and teams
    • Located within the Greater Atlanta area
    • Comfortable with a hybrid/field-based role that includes travel to agency offices and client meetings

    Licensing & Registration

Candidates must hold or be able to obtain the licenses and authorizations required for the products they will offer.

Depending on existing registrations and the scope of business conducted, candidates may also need to transfer applicable Series 6, 7, and/or 63 FINRA registrations or obtain required securities registrations.

    Compensation

This is a commission-based opportunity with compensation tied to production across eligible life insurance, mutual fund, annuity, and financial services business. Additional details regarding compensation, contracting, licensing, and available support will be discussed during the interview process.
